“It takes a lot of courage to release the familiar and seemingly secure, to embrace the new. But there is no real security in what is no longer meaningful. There is more security in the adventurous and exciting, for in movement there is life, and in change there is power.” – Alan Cohen
As founder of Lifelong Nurture, Sally practices as a Holistic Wellness Consultant, specialising in stress management, Yoga and exercise therapy, guided relaxation, mindfulness and meditation, lifestyle coaching and therapeutic massage.
She has a passion for health and wellbeing, and being a certified practitioner of many therapies, is able to bring these together to provide bespoke courses for her clients. Sally has spent several years further researching holistic methods to wellbeing and offers a balanced healing approach to her clients, helping them naturally overcome the physical, mental and emotional aspects of modern stressful living. Drawing on over 20 years experience in commerce and finance, she is able to offer valuable advice to stressed executives, time-poor professionals and business owners during today’s challenging economic climate.
Combining her love of Yoga and running with her experience as a trained exercise professional and holistic practitioner, she believes that wellbeing is achievable by all, even by those who may be currently feeling limited by ill-health, injury, inexperience or age. Her gentle guided approach enables her clients to develop their own path towards their goals. Sally teaches many styles of Yoga, as well as chair-based exercise, and is passionate about bringing the innumerable rewards of regular physical movement to as many people as possible; especially those who may feel Yoga practice or other forms of exercise are currently out of reach. She also provides a unique blend of massage therapy, stretches and modified exercises to provide rehabilitation programmes for those in recovery from injury and /or surgery.
Dedicated to working with all age groups, from teens undergoing exam-related stress, to seniors, and everyone in between, Sally also works with the Parkinson’s Society UK. She leads regular chair-based yoga and exercise classes, privately, for companies, and in residential care homes, and finds this exceptionally rewarding. Yoga postures and exercises are adapted to enable even those who may have been previously labelled as unfit, infirm or unable, to enjoy the physiological and mental release of regular exercise. She works with clients with a wide range of challenges including eating disorders and weight issues, grief, acute anxiety and panic attacks, and other stress-related conditions.
Sally teaches privately in various locations in London, Surrey, Sussex and Kent, at YogaAnanda in Reigate, and in residential retirement homes. She delivers courses and wellness days in association with River Deep Coaching from her base in Chipstead, Surrey and hosts retreats in the UK and Europe.
